The Music of Gardner
Gardner Massachusetts was brought to life when the citizens of four surrounding towns Ashburnham, Winchendon, Westminster, and Templeton all petitioned for the land between them to become it's own Town. By doing this it was easier for the other four towns to meet. Gardner was founded in 1785.
Gardner was named for Colonel Thomas Gardner, who died from a fatal injury he received at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Many different people and cultures helped shape it to what it has become today. With them they brought their own different types of music and dancing that influenced not only Gardner but the entire country itself. |
